Mexico’s National Chamber of Industry Transformation (CANACINTRA) Chihuahua chapter, is working on a project to build a Micro-industrial Park, where at least 30 micro and small industries from the metal-mechanic sector will be established, with all the operational facilities as any larger industrial building has, and in this manner, they will become part of a productive chain to supply major companies located in the State.  There are plans to build an institute for materials research, with the support of world-class institutions operating in this sector. Besides, a design center for tool prototypes will be relocated. The Advanced Materials Research Center (CIMAV), recognized both in Mexico and internationally for the high quality of its research, is going to be one of the members of that institute.
