Daimler Trucks Mexico reached its 500,000th unit in Saltillo

SALTILLO – Daimler Trucks in Saltillo, Coahuila, celebrates a new production record. Inaugurated in 2009, the plant reached the 500,000th unit, so the manufacturing plant is celebrating this achievement.

“Mexico’s manufacturing location is an integral component of the Daimler Trucks production network; every day the dynamic efforts of our employees in Saltillo contribute to the success of our customers and our trucks,” said Jane Rosaasen, plant manager of the facility.

During the celebration, the Daimler team revealed a commemorative plaque for the production of the 500,000th unit, which was a Freightliner Cascadia equipped with a DD15 engine; it is worth noting that this Class 8 unit is the best-selling in the United States.

In addition, Daimler, in Saltillo, has been recognized three times by the President’s Cup, a distinction given to the best factory within Daimler Trucks North America, and was awarded by the Ministry of Economy and the Mexican Government with the national export prize.
