The arrival of US$1.5 billion investments to Ciudad Juarez, is projected from October 2015 through March 2016, announced Manuel Russek Valles, Secretary of Economy of the State. Mr. Russek said that Chihuahua-bound investment might reach US$5 billion this year and US$1.5 billion out of it
, will benefit Ciudad Juarez’s electronics, textile, automotive and plastic injection industries. In the 2013-2014 period, the State got a record US$1.9 billion in investments, which will be surpassed this year, as Ford and Heineken, among others, bring forth important projects. Regarding the aerospace industry, US$400 million investments and the creation of 3,000 new jobs are expected. Ford has announced an investment of US$350 million for this year, which will be exercised in Chihuahua capital, while Heineken announced the opening of a plant in the municipality of Meoqui.
