JUAREZ, CHIH – A total of 20 students from the Tec Milenio University in Ciudad Juarez received educational support, granted by the Municipal Government in coordination with the Maquiladora and Export Manufacturing Industry Association (INDEX).
The support was given to benefit direct workers and the children of employees of the maquiladora industry.
The financial aid will cover the total tuition for two years for young people who are studying at this institution for an Associate Degree in Software.
This joint effort between the Municipal Government and Index, reflected a total investment of one million 813 thousand 080 pesos contributed by both entities.
During the event, Mayor Cruz Perez Cuellar emphasized that education has been a key priority of his administration.
“This effort is enhanced thanks to the collaboration of the maquiladora industry, which on this occasion doubles the resources allocated by the municipality, which maximizes the positive impact on the training of future professionals,” Perez Cuellar emphasized.
The Municipal President also encouraged the beneficiaries to take advantage of this opportunity and raise the name of Juarez, a city known for its labor force and valuable human capital.
For his part, the president of Index Juarez, Sergio Colín Chávez, said that this educational support sets a precedent in the maquiladora industry, by investing in the training of young workers who will become highly trained professionals, benefiting not only the companies, but also the integral development of Ciudad Juarez.
The initiative seeks to reinforce the shared vision between the public and private sectors to invest in the region’s human capital, ensuring that new generations of professionals are better prepared to face the challenges of the future.
