LAS CRUCES, NM – The Las Cruces City Council adopted a resolution to approve a contract for a marketing and public relations campaign to promote the Las Cruces Industrial and Innovation Park (LCIIP).
The purpose is to extend a contract to Griffin & Associates Marketing, Inc. to develop a campaign to promote the Las Cruces Industrial Park, according to the City Council.
The LCIIP, located west of Mesa Street in Las Cruces, has been identified by the city as an economic development zone and is expected to attract businesses to the industrial park, focusing on specific sectors such as aviation, aerospace and military defense, advanced manufacturing and value-added agriculture.
Griffin & Associates Marketing will develop and launch a strategy that will include a bilingual campaign concept, public relations and paid advertising that will emphasize brand consistency and messaging.
On October 8, 2021, the City’s Purchasing program advertised Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 21-22-026 for the LCIIP Marketing and Public Relations campaign, resulting in the receipt of six proposals.
A Selection Advisory Committee evaluated the proposals and interviewed the respondents, with the recommendation on February 4, 2022, being that the contract be awarded to the highest scoring candidate from the RFP, being Griffin & Associates Marketing Inc.
The award of the contract was approved by the City Council at the March 21 meeting, allowing the company to promote the LCIIP for one year, with the option to renew the agreement for an additional three years for an amount not to exceed $140,000 per year.
The Industrial Park is located on Interstate 10, immediately south of Las Cruces International Airport and has an excellent location for the light industrial, general manufacturing, aviation-related and technology-based sectors serving Doña Ana County, El Paso, and the U.S.-Mexico border.
