FRISCO, TX – California-based Ruiz Foods, the largest manufacturer of frozen Mexican foods in the United States, announced it will establish a regional headquarters in Frisco, Texas, contributing an estimated 125 jobs in that area by 2026.
“Texas is the number one destination for economic opportunity in the United States. And I am proud to welcome Ruiz Foods to Frisco. With an unmatched business climate and a skilled, diverse workforce, the state has a competitive advantage that continues to attract top-tier companies,” said Gov. Greg Abbott.
Company President and CEO Dan Antonelli said the company determined it needed a centrally located regional headquarters in a major metropolitan location to implement its current growth strategy.
“We believe the selection of Frisco, Texas, will allow for greater business opportunities, more efficient access to each of our facilities and easier recruitment of talent with important skill sets, such as consumer products, IT and marketing expertise,” Antonelli said.
Ruiz Foods executives have expressed excitement about being able to have a link to the many higher education offerings in Texas through the Office of Economic Development and Tourism’s in-state tuition support for team members who will be relocating with their families.
They also praised the work of the Dallas Regional Chamber (DRC) for their help and guidance during the company’s first visits to the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.
