TUCSON, AZ – The City of Tucson’s Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) has launched a mobile app for fast and secure parking payment.
Through the platform, Entervo Smart Pay, visitors can pay for parking directly from a smartphone, without waiting in line at kiosks or exit gate payment machines.
Parking customers can use the app at Park Tucson’s five public garages, including Centro, Depot Plaza, Pennington Street, Library and City-State. Upon returning or arriving at their car, users can easily pay for parking by opening the app and scanning their ticket with a smartphone.
The app will calculate the rate based on garage prices, and then payment can be made with a credit or debit card, City Hall said.
Entervo Smart Pay works in collaboration with Scheidt & Bachmann, GmbH. Donovan Durband, Park Tucson manager, explained that the new app will allow customers to enjoy the convenience of paying for parking from a mobile device and then being able to quickly exit the garage and go about their business.
Despite putting the new tool into operation, Park Tucson reported that the authorized parking access card will still be used to enter and exit.
Park Tucson is responsible for the operation and maintenance of six city-owned garages and five surface lots and more than 1,800 metered parking spaces. The Division is also responsible for residential, student and business parking permit programs, as well as parking enforcement.
