PIMA, AZ – Optimal Health Systems (OHS), a holistic health company and manufacturer of whole food supplements, announced the expansion of its manufacturing operations in Pima, Arizona.
The 4,500-square-foot formulation, production and marketing facility will increase production of whole food vitamins and supplements, which is expected to create more than 20 new jobs, doubling the company’s workforce to more than 40 employees.
“Optimal Health Systems has been serving and training physicians and providing whole food supplements to them and the public since 1997,” said Douglas D. Grant, company founder and formulator.
Grant said the newly expanded formulation, production and marketing facility will create more jobs in rural Arizona while contributing to the community.
The plant will produce whole food-based supplements that utilize vitamins, organic minerals, pure plant enzymes and stabilized probiotics to boost energy and immunity, reduce inflammation, improve overall health and more.
One of the technological advances OHS uses to facilitate supplement intake is a unique production process involving specialized machines that feed the individual formulas into singular packages. This makes it easier for the customer to take their entire regimen for the recommended time.

The recent building expansion has allowed OHS to improve their production and shipping capacity, as well as expand their product warehouse. This allows them to reach more healthcare professionals, their patients and the general public more quickly.
The OHS expansion adds to a number of economic development activities in rural Arizona, including FrameTec, Interstate Warehousing, Cirba Solutions, Nucor, NexGen Cryogenic Solutions, Inc. and Flowserve Corporation.
