COAHUILA – During the Binational Meeting of Ports and Border Crossings that took place in Washington, DC, the Secretary of Economy of Coahuila, Claudio Bres Garza, presented the advances in the works of the International Bridge 1 and Coahuila 2000 Bridge, in Piedras Negras.
In the meeting, the intervention of all the border states of both the United States and Mexico took place, where the needs, problems, projects, advances and budgets of each one were exposed in order to continue with them and conclude them in the shortest time.
In addition, the forum was used to address issues that allow the greatest commercial benefit to be obtained from the increase in crossings that is taking place as a result of nearshoring.
The representatives of both nations discussed the importance of joining efforts to modernize border infrastructure, the same work that will boost economic recovery by improving the flow of people, goods and services.
Secretary Bres Garza presented the progress of the International Bridge 1 and the Coahuila 2000 Bridge in Piedras Negras. He also validated the progress of the new bridge project for the city of Acuña.
The three have a great advance, the bridges in Piedras Negras are projected to finish for the month of December according to the declarations of the holder of the Direction of Engineers of the SEDENA, and the procedure of the Bridge in Acuña takes much advance in its proceedings and studies previous to its authorization”, declared the Coahuila official.
The cost reduction consists of having a location in a nearby country, where transport, communication and import costs are reduced, in addition to the fact that having operations in places with similar language and culture favors communication and conflict resolution.
