NEW MEXICO – The New Mexico Economic Development Department (EDD) reported that applications are now being accepted for the Science and Technology Venture Creation Grant.
The grant is funded by the state and is intended to support small businesses engaged in research and development with potential for commercialization of their technology. These supports, in turn, help early-stage companies develop unique products with strong growth potential.
The grant funds are earmarked for business development expenses, providing recipients with additional resources to commercialize their early-stage technology.
EDD detailed that interested parties can apply for the resources, as long as they are for-profit science or technology companies based in New Mexico. In addition, applicants must belong to one of the following industry sectors: aerospace, biosciences, cybersecurity, smart manufacturing, and sustainable and green energy.
More information about the grants can be found on the OSST Science & Technology Business Startup Grants website. Applications can also be found on the website and must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 4, 2023.
