HORIZON CITY, TX – On September 7, the Small Business Summit 2023 will be held in Horizon City, Texas, according to Governor Greg Abbott.
The event aims to help Texas small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs reach new goals by connecting them with the resources and information needed to start, strengthen and grow a business.
“Hard-working small business owners are one of the most important catalysts for economic growth in West Texas and in all regions of the state,” said Governor Abbott.
According to Abbott, the hope is to bring the summit to more communities across Texas to ensure small businesses have the tools to continue to thrive.
The Small Business Summit in Horizon City will offer Texas small business owners and entrepreneurs key insights on critical business issues and the opportunity to network with entrepreneurs, as well as meet experts who can share timely advice.
The event will be co-hosted by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Tourism, the Horizon City Economic Development Corporation and the Texas Workforce Commission.
“Small businesses are the heart of the powerful Texas economy, employing nearly half of all working Texans and representing 99.8 percent of businesses in our state,” said Governor Abbott.
The event will be held at Starlight Event Center, located at 6650 Continental Dr, in El Paso, TX, and topics will include Marketing and Digital Media; Small Business and Entrepreneurship; and Workforce Development.
Registration is $20 and includes access to all sessions, resource providers, lunch and complimentary photos.
Upcoming dates for the Small Business Summits include Sept. 21 in Fredericksburg; Oct. 5 in Beaumont; Oct. 19 in San Angelo; and Nov. 9 in San Antonio.
