CHIHUAHUA – The U.S. Government, through the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), donated equipment for training rooms to the Center for Police Specialization and Professionalization of the Chihuahua State Public Security Secretariat.
The equipment includes screens, projectors, computers, software and other teaching materials. This will enable law enforcement to receive face-to-face and virtual training, adapting to the changing needs of the fight against crime.
The donation is part of the Bicentennial Framework, a U.S. government initiative to strengthen security and foster economic prosperity and community well-being in Mexico.
“This donation is an example of the United States’ commitment to Mexico’s security,” said Consul General Eric S. Cohan. “We are working together to create safe and resilient societies.”
The donated equipment will allow law enforcement in Chihuahua to receive training in topics such as criminal investigation, crisis management and crime prevention.
“This donation is very important to us,” said Chihuahua State Public Safety Secretary Gilberto Loya Chavez. “It will allow us to improve the preparation of our law enforcement forces to fight crime”.
