NEW MEXICO – The Scale Up New Mexico program, funded in part by the U.S. Economic Development Administration, will offer its online Business Model Sprint accelerator to New Mexico tech startups. The program, aimed at entrepreneurs and startups in the state who want to refine and validate their business models, will run every Thursday from February 15 through March 21.
Startups interested in participating must apply by February 2. Successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance on February 7.
The Business Model Sprint is an initiative of Scale Up NM, a program designed to support the growth of early-stage startups. The goal of the program is to strategically scale up startups by refining and strengthening their business models to achieve sustainable success in the marketplace.
During the six-week sprint, participants will engage in interactive sessions covering various aspects of business model development, including product-market fit, sales strategies, customer discovery, value proposition and monetization strategies. The program incorporates presentations, discussions, breakout sessions, one-on-one mentoring and networking opportunities, guiding participants through the nuances of business model optimization.
“The Business Model Sprint is a unique opportunity for New Mexico tech startups to receive training and guidance from top industry experts,” said Dana Catron, deputy director of the Arrowhead Center. “The program will help them refine their business models and increase their chances of success.”
Featured advisors and mentors in the program include accomplished entrepreneurs, economists, experienced traders and active angel and venture investors.
To qualify for the Business Model Sprint, startups must be based in New Mexico or have plans to relocate to the state. Participants are expected to attend a weekly two-hour virtual session throughout the cohort, actively engaging in technology-based innovation.
