TAMAULIPAS – The Ministry of Tourism of Tamaulipas participated in the 1st Expo-Congress of Foreign Trade and Customs (ECCEA), held in Nuevo Laredo, with the objective of promoting the state as an integral and dynamic tourist destination.
Verónica Loredo Hernández, Tamaulipas’ Undersecretary of Tourism Development and Promotion, attended the event, which brought together prominent businessmen from the national and international trade sectors.
In her participation, the undersecretary highlighted the firm intention of the Tamaulipas government to attract relevant events to the state, with the objective of boosting tourism and positioning the state as an attractive destination for national and international visitors.
Loredo Hernandez also highlighted the importance of these meetings to establish valuable connections with various chambers of commerce and the constructive and promotional role played by the Ministry of Tourism during these types of events.
In collaboration with the Nuevo Laredo Hotel Association, the Ministry of Tourism set up an information booth that showcased Tamaulipas’ tourist attractions, including beaches, nature, magical towns, museums and the varied hotel and gastronomic offerings available in the state.
The event included the participation of numerous stands that offered a wide variety of products and services related to customs, foreign trade, logistics, and the metal-mechanic industry, among others. It also facilitated interaction between companies and relevant civil organizations, federal ministries, as well as state and municipal governments. Raymundo Bautista, director of the ECCEA, highlighted the participation of the Ministry of Tourism and emphasized that Nuevo Laredo was the ideal choice to host this unprecedented event, considering its relevance as the country’s customs capital and main land port.
