NUEVO LEON – The government of Nuevo León reported that the week-long trade tour of Singapore and China, led by its Secretary of Economy Iván Rivas, has opened the door to important investments in the aerospace and electromobility sectors for the state.
“We verified that there is a lot of interest in Nuevo León, in our competitive advantages, in what we do better than other entities and in the reasons that lead companies to expand their operations in the state,” said Rivas.
Accompanied by the Undersecretary of Investment, Emmanuel Loo, Rivas attended the Singapore Airshow, the largest aerospace fair in Asia, where they met with 27 leading companies in the sector to learn about the latest in technology and innovative processes.
They also visited the renowned Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Center (ARTC), which operates in partnership with Nanyang Technological University, and held meetings with ST Engineering, the world’s largest aircraft maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) provider.
As part of the tour, Rivas also participated in the seminar “Why Nuevo León is the best place to invest”, where he shared with 90 representatives of leading companies in Singapore the competitive advantages offered by the state, such as its strategic location, skilled labor force and modern infrastructure.
In China, the Nuevo León delegation met with companies such as Great Wall Motors, the country’s largest producer of utility vehicles and vans, and Yutong, which manufactures electric buses.
Nuevo León authorities expect the investments made during this trade tour to materialize in the medium term, which will generate new jobs and development opportunities for the state.
