New Regal Rexnord plant begins operations in Chihuahua
CHIHUAHUA, CHIH – The Governor of Chihuahua, headed the start-up ceremony of the Regal Rexnord plant in the state capital, which reaffirms the state’s national leadership in the industrial sector.
Regal Rexnord is a leader in industrial propulsion systems solutions, electric motors, bearings, gears, conveyors and transmission components products and is currently based in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
For its establishment in Chihuahua City, the company made an investment of US$13.8 million and will generate 190 jobs in a first phase, in its new facilities located in the Bafar Industrial Park, which have an area of 115,000 square feet.
The Chief Executive thanked the company for materializing this investment, a year after laying the first stone.
She added that the state produces advanced materials and has specialized production processes, so the opening of this plant reaffirms that the state has a highly qualified labor force.
The state governor emphasized that Chihuahua’s talent offers the possibility of development to local, national and foreign companies. She also highlighted that the aerospace industry in the state is strong, with the operation of 45 companies that export products for US$1.8 billion dollars a year.
She indicated that young people can take advantage of these high value employment opportunities, since the state has 9 universities with educational programs focused on this industry.
Luis Carlos Ramirez, Regal Rexnord’s Chihuahua plant manager, highlighted that these new facilities will offer quality products for the aeronautical industry.
Regal Rexnord’s Vice President and General Manager of Defense and Aerospace, Jonathon Dishaw, stated that Chihuahua stands out for its organization, providing an adequate space to work, which guarantees success for the aerospace industry.
