ARIZONA – XNRGY Climate Systems celebrated the groundbreaking of its new manufacturing plant and U.S. headquarters in Mesa, Arizona, on April 16.
The facility is expected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2025, creating more than 900 new jobs, according to the Arizona Commerce Authority.
The new XNRGY facility will be located at Gateway East at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. The first phase of the Arizona facility encompasses 275,000 square feet, surpassing the 223,000 square feet of XNRGY’s Montreal headquarters.
The initial investment marks a key milestone in the company’s previously announced US$300 million capital investment plan for the Mesa area. The groundbreaking ceremony represented the beginning of a four-phase development plan that will ultimately create a massive one-million-square-foot sustainable manufacturing headquarters.
“XNRGY’s new manufacturing facility and U.S. headquarters are another example of why Arizona is the world’s destination for advanced industry,” said Governor Katie Hobbs. “We are proud that XNRGY has chosen Arizona for its significant manufacturing operations, which will create hundreds of skilled jobs for Arizonans and strengthen the state’s sustainability leadership.”
“XNRGY’s commitment to sustainability means we focus on research and development to ensure our products offer maximum energy efficiency, carbon footprint reduction and support LEED certification in a variety of applications,” said Wais Jalali, Founder and CEO of XNRGY.
XNRGY’s expansion is a major step forward, not only in manufacturing capacity, but also in its commitment to the U.S. market and the environment. The Mesa facility will create exciting career opportunities, as XNRGY will actively collaborate with local universities and trade schools to recruit and hire skilled workers, fostering a new generation of sustainability champions in the Mesa community.
“As Mesa continues to evolve as an innovation hub, we are thrilled to see XNRGY break ground on its massive sustainable manufacturing center,” said Mesa Mayor John Giles. “This significant investment not only underscores Mesa’s attractiveness to top companies, but also reinforces our commitment to a greener future. With more than 900 new jobs, this project exemplifies the intersection of economic growth and environmental stewardship.”
J. Brian O’Neill, Airport Director the groundbreaking event was the first for Gateway East, a 273-acre world-class airport business park.
“We are thrilled to see XNRGY break ground on their new facility at Gateway East,” said Matt Jensen, partner at The Boyer Company. “As mentioned in 2022, XNRGY aligns perfectly with our vision for the development. Beyond the initial building, Gateway East’s infrastructure provides XNRGY with the flexibility and space to accommodate its ambitious growth plans. In today’s unique economic environment, we are proud to have partnered with XNRGY and the State of Arizona to find creative solutions that benefit all parties. This groundbreaking signifies not only a new facility, but the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership.”
