CHIHUAHUA – With more than 200 exhibitors, the XIV International Mining Conference Chihuahua and Expomin took place at the Convention and Exhibition Center, where participants presented their innovative services and equipment to potential buyers.
The event is organized by the Association of Mining Engineers, Metallurgists and Geologists of Mexico (Aimmgm), with the support of the Mining Department, in which companies and suppliers addressed issues related to social responsibility and environmental sustainability practices.
During the opening ceremony, the president of Aimmgm’s General Board of Directors, Luis Humberto Vázquez San Miguel, said that “Chihuahua saw the birth of mining. After almost five centuries, it has very important investments, from which more than 11 thousand formal jobs are created”.
He recognized the trajectory and legacy of Dr. Manuel Reyes Cortés, as well as the support given by the Governor of the State to the companies that operate in Chihuahua.
During the development of the event, in which more than 4 thousand people are expected to attend, there were workshops and more than 30 conferences that will address topics such as exploration projects, data sciences applied to Artificial Intelligence and the demand for minerals in the energy transition.
In addition, the Mining Business Center platform will be launched, which will enable exhibiting companies to establish contacts and do business.
