BAJA CALIFORNIA – During the confirmation ceremony of the Ensenada Business Coordinating Council (CCEE) board of directors for the 2024-2025 cycle, Kurt Honold Morales, in charge of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation (SEI), highlighted the vigor and momentum of Baja California’s economy.
Honold highlighted that the dynamism is attributed to the sustained activity of the industrial and manufacturing sector, with 1,138 exporting companies leading the nation and a Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) that reached 4,598 million dollars in a 30-month period.
At this meeting, where Marco Antonio Estudillo Bernal was reaffirmed as president of the CCEE, the secretary emphasized the importance of maximizing the region’s capabilities.
Key investment projects are currently under development, including a new commercial border crossing, ferry service between Ensenada and San Diego, and an intermodal rail station. These initiatives will promote pedestrian and tourist traffic between California and Baja California. In addition, energy sufficiency to support productive operations was mentioned.
Marco Antonio Estudillo Bernal was unanimously reelected for another term as president of the CCEE by representatives of the different organizations that make up the CCEE.
Following the businessmen’s decision, Mr. Estudillo Bernal expressed his gratitude to all the board members and organizations that make up this top business sector body and reaffirmed his commitment to continue promoting economic growth in the region.
