CHIHUAHUA – The Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE) of Chihuahua, in collaboration with Mexico Now, issued an invitation to the Automotive & Aerospace Nearshoring Summit 2024, to be held on September 5 and 6 at the Convention and Exhibition Center in the city of Chihuahua.
In its third edition, the event will bring together key players to explore opportunities in the automotive and aerospace industries, with the objective of fostering the exchange of ideas and promoting collaboration between local companies and suppliers, with national and international buyers through B2B meetings.
It will also feature top-level presentations and will showcase aircraft fuselages, electromechanical components and engines.
The head of SIDE, Ulises Fernandez, said that this platform will be a space of opportunity, growth and development for the automotive and aerospace sectors, by allowing local suppliers the possibility of accessing business opportunities.
“It is an area of opportunity for companies to interact with global chains and learn about the requirements and purchasing criteria, to be able to participate both indirectly and directly in the processes of these two important sectors,” said Fernandez.
During the event, local companies will be able to learn first-hand about industry trends in order to transition to new business units in complex processes and activities, and thus become part of the value chains, as well as attract more investment and generate jobs in the state.
The director of Mexico Now, Sergio Ornelas, said that this edition is expected to be attended by more than 3,000 people and the participation of 1,500 companies with 200 stands.
As part of the meeting, there will also be a tour of the Bell and Ford plants located in the city of Chihuahua.
