CHIHUAHUA – The Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development of Chihuahua (SIDE) and the agency GS1 Mexico, have issued an invitation to Chihuahua companies to participate in the Business Factory (FDN) event.
The event will take place on September 10 and 11 at the Sheraton Hotel in Chihuahua City, from 10:00 to 17:00 hours, and is considered one of the most important retail forums.
SIDE emphasized that the objective is to encourage micro, small and medium-sized companies (MSMEs) in Chihuahua to become suppliers of large commercial chains.
Ulises Fernández, Chihuahua’s Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, said that the state is proud to host this regional event, where local companies will be able to participate in negotiations with commercial chains such as Walmart, Soriana, Alsuper, Smart, Waldos, Oxxo, Farmacias Guadalajara, among others.
GS1’s Director of Associate Development, Alejandro Trejo, explained that FND enables the professionalization of products and the operation of MSMEs in the northern states of the country.
Prior to this event, the Northern Region Business Professionalization Program was held from August 19 to 22 in three sessions, in which entrepreneurs will be trained to participate in business roundtables with commercial chains and marketplaces.
The Director of Entrepreneurship and Business Development, Guillermo Quintana, informed that there are already more than 300 companies registered in this program, some of them from Aquiles Serdán, Buenaventura, Camargo, Casas Grandes, Delicias, Juárez, Chihuahua, Coronado, Cuauhtémoc, Parral, Jiménez, Julimes, Madera, Matachí, Meoqui, Namiquipa, Nuevo Casas Grandes, Riva Palacio, Rosales, Saucillo and Allende.
The training program covers topics such as bar coding, brand registration, business plans, digital marketing, sales to commercial chains, e-commerce, exports, regulations and labeling, among others.
The FND event is free of charge and is designed to strengthen business opportunities and improve the visibility and productivity of companies.
