CHIHUAHUA – The Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development of Chihuahua (SIDE), inaugurated the first edition of the Binational Electronics Show 2024, an event that brings together leaders, manufacturers and companies in the electronic components sector from around the world.
The protocol ceremony was led by the head of the SIDE, Ulises Fernández Gamboa, who highlighted that the state is the main exporter of electronics at the national level and the third place with more investments in the sector.
The secretary indicated that, thanks to its proximity and binational relationship, Chihuahua is positioned in the epicenter of the main technological and electronic investments that are taking place in the United States, specifically in the semiconductor and electromobility industry.
In addition, the official pointed out that the semiconductor industry is a key opportunity, and the state has the necessary potential to develop the assembly, testing and packaging of these components.
The director of the Binational Electronics Show, Jesús Carrillo, expressed his gratitude for the support and commitment to economic growth and technological innovation.
He also announced the work to consolidate the Electronic Cluster of Chihuahua, which aims to help SMEs to grow and generate business links and enhance the development of the sector.
Armando Gutiérrez, president of Canacintra Chihuahua, stated that the objective of the organization is to offer Chihuahua companies a support ecosystem through certifications, business model acceleration schemes, specialization and innovation.
The event was attended by business leaders, suppliers, authorities from various organizations, exhibitors and speakers.
Binational Electronics Show 2024 will take place on August 28 and 29 at the Expo Chihuahua Exhibition and Convention Center, offering conferences, exchange of ideas, business opportunities and the possibility of collaborating with various companies, suppliers and high-potential customers.
