AI technology and impact to be promoted at Baja Innovation Day

BAJA CALIFORNIA – In order to expose how technology and innovation contribute to the quality of life of the community, the Ministry of Economy and Innovation (SEI) of Baja California will hold the second edition of “Baja Innovation Day”.

The event will be held on Thursday, November 21 at the Tijuana Trade Center where new technologies, tools, projects, start-ups and conferences will be presented, informed the Secretary of Economy and Innovation, Kurt Honold Morales.

“We are calling students, professionals, academics, researchers, entrepreneurs, industry, investment funds, organizations, society and government for a program of conferences with national and international speakers who will talk about trends, tools and opportunities integrating the vision of Latin America and the United States,” said Honold.

Among the topics that will be addressed throughout the event are the Future of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its Impact on Business Innovation; Entrepreneurship in Silicon Valley and Baja California, technological tools from global companies such as Google, IBM, Siemens, International Youth Foundation, among others, the era of AI and Sustainability; the Digital Talent Gap and finally Nearshoring: Strategies for a Competitive Value Chain.

An Immersive Expo is also contemplated for an experience of direct interaction with the technologies and solutions presented by exhibiting companies, innovation centers, educational institutions with virtual reality applications, simulations, practical experiences up to artificial intelligence in strategic sectors of Baja California.

In addition, business meetings will be held on investment and value chain issues, seeking to showcase innovative and technological solutions to national and international investment funds.

Another component of the event will be the Innovation Challenges with an approach to solutions for challenges and needs of Value Centers in various sectors, while the Innovation Panels will have a space for interactive sessions and conversations between experts who share experiences, knowledge and reference models that inspire action on issues of future talent, raising venture capital, the impact of creative industries and advances in applied technological innovation.
