NUEVO LAREDO – With the purpose of providing students with a better professional preparation, the Universidad Tecnológica de Nuevo Laredo (UTNL) informed that it continues to promote the dual education model, through greater links with the business sector.
The rector of the University, José Antonio Tovar Lara, mentioned that the 70/30 educational model, also known as dual education, combines theory and practice, through academic visits to relevant companies.
“For us, this educational model is very important. Recently, students from the Logistics, Customs and Marketing careers visited the facilities of MedLine Nuevo Laredo Plant, Transmex and Stereo 91, where they had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the industrial processes and quality control systems managed by these companies,” said Tovar.
Through the implementation of this educational model, prior to a collaboration agreement with the companies, the university students put into practice the theory learned in the university classrooms in various companies in the region.
“These visits allow students to acquire practical learning and get closer to the real challenges of the industry, strengthening their ability to innovate and develop efficient solutions. In addition, they encourage teamwork and the analysis of real cases, providing a more complete and direct education with the working world,” said the rector.
