COAHUILA – During the month of January, 4,463 new formal jobs registered with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) were created in Coahuila, representing a significant contribution to the national total of 73,167 jobs created during the same period.
The growth of formal employment in the state reflects a positive trend in the generation of job opportunities, with associated benefits such as access to social security, health services, credit and housing for workers. State labor authorities pointed out that this progress is due to the collaboration between the business sector, unions and academic organizations, as well as to the climate of stability and security in the region.
In addition to the figures registered, two Job Fairs were held in Saltillo and Torreón, where more than 3 thousand vacancies were offered. For the month of February, new events are scheduled in Piedras Negras and Torreon, with the objective of continuing to bring job opportunities to different regions of the state.
According to the Secretary of Labor, the investments announced in recent months have contributed to the strengthening of the labor market, consolidating Coahuila as an attractive state for the generation of formal employment. The growth trend is expected to continue in the coming months with the arrival of new investments and training strategies for the local workforce.
“In Coahuila we are working in coordination with the business sector, labor unions, academia and civil organizations to establish the necessary conditions so that more and better jobs continue to arrive for Coahuilans that benefit society as a whole,” mentioned Nazira Zogbi Castro, Coahuila’s Secretary of Labor.
Zogbi mentioned that the daily work to promote quality employment will continue to bring job opportunities to all regions of the state and that investments will continue to translate into more and better opportunities for Coahuilans.
