Braven Environmental to invest US$145 million in Texas

TEXARKANA, TX – Governor Greg Abbott announced that Braven Environmental, LLC, an advanced plastic waste recycling company, will be the third project under the state’s Jobs, Energy, Technology and Innovation (JETI) program.

The company will invest more than US$145 million in a new recycling plant in Texarkana, creating jobs and strengthening the local economy.

Abbott noted that this investment reinforces Texas’ leadership in technological innovation and economic growth.

“Texas makes today’s products with tomorrow’s technologies. Braven Environmental is not only investing in our state’s future, but also creating good-paying jobs for Texans,” the governor said.

Senator Bryan Hughes emphasized that Braven’s arrival will boost the regional economy and advance sustainable technology. For his part, Rep. Gary VanDeaver thanked the joint effort of the Governor’s Office, Bowie County, Hooks ISD, Texarkana College and TexAmericas Center for attracting the project.

Jim Simon, CEO of Braven Environmental, expressed his gratitude for the state and local backing, stating that this support was crucial in choosing Texas as the site. Likewise, Hooks ISD and TexAmericas Center celebrated the partnership, highlighting the positive impact it will bring in terms of employment, sustainability and innovation.

With this new facility, Braven Environmental will contribute to the economic development of Texarkana, consolidating its commitment to sustainability and creating new job opportunities for the region.
