During their participation in the Paris Air Show, representatives from Chihuahua’s public and private sectors held more than 50 meetings with leaders from the aerospace industry. The aim was to strengthen ties with companies already established in the state and explore new investment opportunities, especially in highly complex technological processes.
The delegation, made up of state officials, representatives of the Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster, and Index Chihuahua, held meetings with companies specializing in avionics, composite materials, training centers, and advanced technologies. The companies contacted highlighted the region’s technical talent and the model of collaboration between sectors as factors of interest for future investments.
Ulises Fernández, head of the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE), announced that next year a trade mission will be carried out in Poland, a country that is home to one of the largest aerospace clusters in Europe. The agenda will include business meetings and an investment seminar to strengthen the state’s international projection.
Collaboration between Virtual Educa and state authorities was also confirmed for the “Mars Challenge,” an aerospace innovation hackathon to be held in the city of Chihuahua. The event seeks to foster the development of young talent in key technological areas for the industry.
At the GACP Summit 2025, held at the Mexican Embassy in Paris, international representatives recognized Chihuahua as one of the most consolidated regions in the country in the aerospace sector, with the presence of five original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), more than 40 certified companies, and a significant portion of national talent.
The delegation was made up of actors from the state’s economic ecosystem, including Chihuahua Global, Intermex, American Industries, the Chihuahua City Council, the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, HT-MX, Metal Finishing Company, and economic and technological promotion agencies.
