Moses Lake Industries (MLI) has opened a new 50,000-square-foot manufacturing and research plant in Mesa, Arizona. The investment, worth close to $100 million, is part of the company’s expansion strategy in the semiconductor materials sector.
The facility will specialize in the development of advanced chemical solutions, such as high-purity electrolytic materials and copper-based compounds used in next-generation technologies. The location in Arizona’s “semiconductor corridor” seeks to facilitate collaboration with manufacturers in the sector and improve supply chain efficiency.
According to MLI, the plant was designed to function as an innovation center, with spaces dedicated to research, process development, and technical collaboration with customers.
Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman noted that the company’s arrival strengthens the city’s position within the global semiconductor ecosystem and will help create jobs in areas such as engineering, research, and advanced manufacturing. He also noted that the initiative is aligned with local economic development goals.
MLI reported that it is already in the process of hiring technical staff and is working with local educational programs to train new professionals in the area.
The company stated that the plant will operate under strict standards of safety, sustainability, and social responsibility, with the goal of maintaining good practices both in its production and in its relationship with the community.
