A group of 27 students from different municipalities in Chihuahua was selected to participate in a four-week academic stay at the University of Arizona as part of the Fulbright COMEXUS International Scholarship Program.
The training will focus on Generative Artificial Intelligence and will include topics such as technical fundamentals, the use of Large Language Models (LLM), Prompt Engineering, and practical applications in business environments. The investment for this edition of the program amounts to US$129.311.
This initiative is carried out in coordination with the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE), Fulbright COMEXUS, and the U.S. Embassy in Mexico. The stay is part of the Chihuahua Talent Platform, designed to promote specialized training for young people in strategic areas.
The students come from various regions of the state, including Chihuahua, Ciudad Juárez, Hidalgo del Parral, and Nuevo Casas Grandes. Participating institutions include the Technological University of Chihuahua (UTCH and UTCH BIS), the National Technological Institute of Mexico at its Chihuahua, Juárez, Parral, and Nuevo Casas Grandes campuses, the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (UACH), the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ), the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM), the Polytechnic University of Chihuahua (UPCH), the Technological University of Parral, and the Palmore College.
Before the trip, the students received support materials for their transfer. The program seeks to strengthen the preparation of young people in emerging technologies and promote international academic links.
