A month away from its start, Tamaulipas is preparing to host the Mexico Carbon Forum 2025, an international meeting that will bring together more than 3,500 participants from 30 countries in Tampico, as well as 170 experts on energy transition, carbon markets, and climate change action.
The forum has established itself as a strategic space for debating and defining global initiatives related to sustainability, industrial decarbonization, and the adoption of clean energy. Among the topics to be addressed are the transition to a low-carbon economy, the role of renewable energy in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and the challenges of achieving carbon neutrality.

According to the Tamaulipas Secretariat of Urban Development and Environment, the event will have a direct impact on the tourism, trade, and services sectors, and in the medium and long term could facilitate the implementation of renewable energy projects, sustainable mobility, and training for local businesses and stakeholders.
The agency noted that the municipalities of Tampico, Ciudad Madero, and Altamira are participating in the organization of the forum, with the aim of ensuring that the results translate into effective public policies and sustainable investment opportunities.
The Mexico Carbon Forum 2025 is shaping up to be an opportunity to position Tamaulipas on the international agenda for environmental innovation and climate action, offering a space for knowledge exchange and collaboration between governments, the private sector, and civil society.
