Bekaert Deslee textile, with operations in Baja California, presented a growth and modernization project with a prospected value of US$25 million and the creation of 500 new jobs in Tijuana.
The company has expanded and improved 40% of its plant to continue producing and commercializing fabrics, ribbons and sheaths for the Mexican and Central American markets, as well as part of South America and the U.S. Governor Francisco Vega de Lamadrid said that these infrastructure projects are aimed at bringing forth sustainability, contributing to efficient processes and cost reduction, saving water and electricity, thus increasing the competitiveness in the State and attracting new investment that will in turn yield more job openings.
