The export manufacturing sector in Chihuahua is expected to close the year with 5,000 new jobs, informed Index’s Director, Cesar de la Garza Licon.
He explained that these figures are a response to the expansion in operations that several plants around town are experiencing, with expectations to continue this trend into 2017, as the arrival of new investment projects is expected during the first trimester. Another positive aspect, he considered, is that the employee turnover rate is kept at 4%, and the sector is not under-staffed. The export manufacturing industry currently maintains 60,600 jobs.
