The Government of Baja California disclosed an investment project valued at US$27 million by the automotive company MPA, to arrive soon in the State. This Company already has presence in the State and it will expand its operations.
State authorities met with executives from the Company at its corporate offices in Torrance, California, where they discussed the creation of a distribution and logistics center, as well as additional production areas in a new building, set to start operations by late 2017, including areas for general assembly, for “boosters” and turbos, which will open positions for 300 new operators. MPA Tijuana, has currently 2 buildings and maintains 2,400 employees, who participate in the daily production of 25,000 alternators and car starters to be exported mainly to the U.S.
