The factory from the Chinese technology firm Lenovo, in Monterrey, in addition to manufacturing notebooks, laptops and all in ones for export and domestic market, is now planning to produce more laptops for the Mexican market, as well as producing in Mexico servers to be sold globally, pointed out Jacobo Stern, General Director of Lenovo Mexico.
The production in the Monterrey plant has increased 15% over the last year, compared to 2015, regarding computer equipment, and a 100% regarding servers. The business line Data Center Group by Lenovo, which includes servers, generated sales of US$1.1 billion from July through September 2016. Regions such as Latin America, were relevant after a 12% growth rate was reported in this division.
