The Tijuana’s Mayor office has captured US$ 1 billion worth of investment, mainly destined to the manufacturing sector, in preparation for the arrival of new plants or expansions to companies that have been operating in this town for years. Juan Manuel Gastelum Buenrostro, Tijuana’s Mayor, explained that focusing their work on the development plan has resulted in obtaining a capital investment of US$1 billion, which stands for roughly 20,000 new jobs through 82 expansion projects for companies that are now established, plus another 40 new investment projects.
