With a US$50 million investment, Mexican corporation La Moderna has inaugurated a plant in the US, with the goal of boosting its pasta production and distribution in this market. The Company, based in Toluca, Estado de Mexico, decided to build the new factory in the town of Cleburne, Southwest of Dallas, Texas, to produce approximately 4,000 tons of pasta each month. The new plant is not a coincidence; it is the result of the Mexican entrepreneurs’ leadership, the good business environment in Texas and the protection to investment that the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) offers, said the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Luis Videgaray Caso, during the inauguration.
