The German company Infineon Technologies announced an investment of US$40 million dollars for the expansion of its plant in Tijuana, Baja California.
The company, also known as Rectificadores Internacionales, has had a presence in Tijuana for 17 years and they mainly manufacture semiconductors for the electronic, medical and automotive sectors.
The expansion of Infineon Technologies will allow the integration of new production lines throughout the following four years. In this sense, more than 200 people will have to be hired in order to balance out the incoming amount of work and to promote the creation of development opportunities for the region.
