TIJUANA – Private initiative and authorities of the three orders of government created the Fourth Transformation of Mexico’s Customs on the Northern Border, a working group to promote the free border zone.
The president of Consejo de Desarrollo de Tijuana (CDT), Aram Hodoyán Navarro, explained that it is an effort made up of representatives of the government and the business sector to reactivate the economy within the import and export, in addition to trade between the two countries, but mainly between San Diego and Tijuana.
This initiative seeks to promote the most significant projects for the development of the region, including State Route 11 / Garita de Otay Mesa East (Otay II), the air cargo park and logistics, as well as the export corridor presented by the CDT.
The intention is that from the coast, through the port, and then with the use of the railroad that begins its route in Ensenada, passes through Tecate and Tijuana to finally cross the border to USA and can strengthen the industry by developing infrastructure for these activities.
