CIUDAD JUAREZ – Due to the works of Project I-10 Connect the industrial sector in Ciudad Juarez will shield the operations of foreign trade, releasing operations by the international crossing Zaragoza-Ysleta, when it is required, informed Asociación de Maquiladoras (AMAC-Index Juárez).
Sergio Sierra, Index representative in El Paso, said that this project in charge of the Texas Department of Transportation once completed will reduce traffic and prevent commercial trucks from forming waiting lines in residential sectors.
The plan extends from I-10 to Loop 375 and gives access to the Córdova Americas Bridge. I-10 contemplates the complete reconstruction of the intersection between I-110 and US 62 (Paisano Drive) with an investment of US$96 million within 36 months.
Sergio Sierra indicated that the strong impacts regarding the close of roads for the industry will come on February next year.
