ENSENADA – The fishing and aquaculture sector of Baja California will have US$2.4 million to invest in infrastructure, equipment and improve productive efficiency, informed the head of Secretaría de Pesca y Acuacultura del Estado, Matías G. Arjona Rydalch.
He highlighted that of these resources, US$519,062 correspond to the program of concurrence with federative entities, which will soon allow to begin works of rehabilitation of roads and access to fishing and aquaculture fields, where US$363,252 will be invested in the polygons of the fishing fields that are more distant.
Arjona Rydalch said that this year will continue with the third stage of the launching ramp in Eréndira, where the resources of this exercise will accumulate an amount greater than US$ 622,679.
“For the fishing community of Isla de Cedros, the cold net will be completed, to which an investment of more than US$342,473 has been allocated, which will help generate more employment and make the process and storage of the product more efficient,” He said.
