CIUDAD JURAEZ – In recent days a very important meeting was held with the governor of the State of Chihuahua, Javier Corral, the mayor of Juárez, Armando Cabada and the general administrator of Customs, Ricardo Peralta in order to discuss the impact of exports on the border.
The mayor stated that Juarez has an industrial vocation which leads to an important impact at a state and national level, since the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) represents 1.5% in the country and 46.6% in the state of Chihuahua, in addition to the manufacturing sector which represents 66% of employment in the city and exports total a quantity of US$39 billion.
The general administrator of Customs, Ricardo Peralta, considered as productive the working meeting to learn about 11 mega projects of the northern border, stressing that this will strengthen the binational relationship with the United States.
