NUEVO LEON – Nuevo Leon maintained the leadership in new housing placed in 2018, with 57,973 homes, representing 14.05% of the total, said Jorge Paredes Guerra, president of Realty World Mexico.
“The total volume of new housing placed in 2018, compared to 2017, the leading state at the national level was Nuevo Leon, with 57,973 homes representing 14.05% of the total,” said Paredes Guerra.
In the placement of new housing, Jalisco ranked second with 40,991 homes, followed by the State of Mexico with 28,132 homes, Quintana Roo ranked fourth with 23,984 homes and Guanajuato with 19,650 homes, according to the Realty World Mexico Real Estate Monitor report.
At the end of 2018, total sales of new homes were at 412,400 units, representing a decrease of 7.7% compared to the same period in 2017 where 447,006 units were registered.
