MONTERREY – The industrial market in Monterrey continues to expand since the end of 2018’s fourth quarter.
“Although the availability rate at year-end had an increase of 0.89% over the previous quarter, the construction of new warehouses and industrial spaces are in constant growth,” said Luis Manuel Galindo, senior partner of Colliers International in Monterrey.
Currently there are 13 industrial buildings under construction, which will be incorporated into the inventory during the first half of 2019, adding more than 120,000 m2 to the existing market, says the Industrial Market Report of Colliers International.
Apodaca’s sub-market concentrated most of the industrial buildings under construction with 7 projects; 2 in Santa Catarina, 1 in Ciénega de Flores, 1 in Monterrey, 1 in Salinas Victoria and 1 in Escobedo in Nuevo León.
“The northern area will continue to be attractive for the installation of companies in industrial parks, due to Federal government actions that will give relevance to the border strip,” said Galiano.
