NUEVO LEON – Cámara de Industria de Transformación (Caintra) of Nuevo Leon proposed to the federal government, a budget of at least US$780 million per year to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the country.
In an analysis, the private organization pointed out that these represent some of the sector’s proposals for the elaboration of 2019-2024 National Development Plan of the new federal administration.
Caintra stressed the need to increase credit guarantee schemes, supported by a catalogue of financing options, and to set a target of 30% of gross domestic product (GDP) as financing for SMEs. The organization stated as well that at least US$780 million per year are needed for SMEs in terms of federal budget, along with a national strategy of advice and guidance for this productive sector.
