CIUDAD JUAREZ – After a US$105,000 investment, state authorities reported that they are ruling out continuing construction of the zip line in Parque Central Poniente in Ciudad Juárez.
Undersecretary of Public Works at the border, Roberto Barraza, said that they are considering making improvements to the eastern and western areas of the park, and these no longer include the project.
“It is being analyzed what is going to be done with it, if it is going to be used as a zip line or something else is going to be done. The 14-meter-high structure could be used as a watchtower,” he said.
Mr. Barraza pointed out that Secretaría de la Función Pública (SFP) of the state, has been auditing all the works done in the Central Park since October 2017.
