TIJUANA – Chinese businessmen are investing in Tijuana and there is an expectation that this will gradually increase in the future, according to the president of the association Desarrollo Económico e Industrial de Tijuana (Deitac), Carlos Higuera.
The president of Deitac said that last year there was an increase in requests for information from companies located in that country, and in 2018 four companies were established in this border city, while in 2019 the first arrived.
“They almost always start with a very small operation, and expand it over time,” he stated.
Mr. Higuera explained that Chinese companies work mainly in the electronics sector, there are other companies which work in environmental issues and a much smaller group is asking about the aerospace sector.
