ENSENADA – In a few months, Baja California companies could start working with solar energy generated in Baja California as part of the Energía Real del Castillo project in Ojos Negros, Ensenada.
The director of Baja Pacific Energy, Julio Resendiz, officially announced the project that could begin to produce energy within 10 to 12 months, depending on the provisions of the relevant authorities.
The project consists of around 136,000 solar panels located in an area of 60 hectares in the Ojos Negros Valley, Ensenada, which would generate 43 megawatts of energy to be distributed throughout the Baja California peninsula, especially in the Mexicali industry, which have already begun to join the project.
“We go directly to the Baja California market, not just to Mexicali although in Mexicali we have found this opportunity, but this goes to Tijuana, Ensenada and Tecate too,” explained Resendiz.
