60% increase in solar energy use is expected in Nuevo Leon

NUEVO LEON – This year, the use of solar energy by industry and commerce could live its best moment in Nuevo Leon, driven by savings of up to 65% and a scenario where electricity rates and natural gas increase.

Juan Pablo Robert, Enlight’s marketing director, stated that industry and commerce in the state are just turning to the use of solar energy, since in recent years they have based their model of energy supply through electricity and natural gas.

He pointed out that the high prices of both fuels are causing the search for alternative economic savings and one of them is solar energy.

Robert stated as well that as a result of said scenario, Enlight expects to increase the number of customers in the industrial and commercial sector of the state.
