France bets on investment in Baja California

TIJUANA – Mexico continues to be a country of opportunities, it is the people and not the government who make the economy, stated the Consul of France in Tijuana, Fernando Padilla Fitch, during a conference about business opportunities between Baja California and France.

“We are betting on young people, entrepreneurs and Tijuana which is a very important destination. We are betting that somehow the government’s good intentions will generate welfare,” he said.

Padilla Fitch stated that at the moment a delegation of Desarrollo Económico e Industrial de Tijuana a.c. (Deitac), was sent to visit four regions of France.

According to the consul, France has an investment of about US$800 million, and today there are investment opportunities in order to take care of public transport and security issues.
