MEXICO CITY – Recently, Index Juárez and Horacio Duarte Olivares, in charge of the Government of Mexico’s Attention to Migrants from the Northern Border of the Country, headed a meeting with businessmen in order to address issues regarding the arrival of migrants to the border city.
Migrants must meet the same requirements as Mexican citizens, such as being of legal age, being registered with organisms such as SAT and IMSS, having a non-criminal record and having a bank account.
The Government of Mexico, through these two organizations, agreed to promote the strategy of labor insertion of migrants in the maquiladora industry of Ciudad Juarez, within the framework of the Mexico-United States migration agreement.
